Student shot dead outside Grange Hill High School premises in Jamaica

Jamaica: In a tragic shooting incident, a male student of Grange Hill High School, Jamaica, was shot and killed while another female student got severely injured. The incident took place outside the school gate on Thursday afternoon and caused a huge chaos around the property. The identity of the deceased, who studied in the 10th grade, has not been revealed by the police officials. According to the reports, the Morgans Bridge Police State conducted the preliminary investigations. They said that both the students were leaving the school compound and walking up towards the Bell Isle Road when they were approached by two men who came on a motorcycle. It was further reported that the men took out handguns and opened fire on them before fleeing the scene in their vehicle. The passersby called the police and rushed the injured students to the hospital, where the male was pronounced dead, and the female was being treated for her injuries. The officials have launched an investigation into the incident and are looking for the suspects who carried out this brutal act. The police officials said that there has been a surge of gang violence in the Grange Hill Community during the recent months, which is leading to several deaths. Following the shooting incident in Westmoreland, Jamaica, police officials have ordered all businesses to shut their doors.
