St Kitts and Nevis vaccinates 53.8% of its population
Health Ministry of St Kitts and Nevis, in their recent notification, notified that country has inoculated 53.8 per cent (17,874 individuals) of the population against the COVID-19 deadly mutant till 29 June 2021.

St Kitts and Nevis: Health Ministry of St Kitts and Nevis, in their recent notification, notified that country has inoculated 53.8 per cent (17,874 individuals) of the population against the COVID-19 deadly mutant till 29 June 2021.
The data in the report of the Health Ministry declares that a total of 69.1 per cent of St Kitts and Nevis population has taken their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of 29 June 2021.
In total, 40,615 jabs of the novel COVID-19 vaccines have been administered on the sister islands, out of which a total of 31,174 jabs administered on St Kitts. In contrast, around 9,441 COVID-19 doses have been administered on Nevis island.
The St Kitts and Nevis government also provided coronavirus hotline numbers – (869) 467-1146/1233 (St Kitts), (869) 469-5521, 2035/2051/(869) 469 -8010 (Nevis island).
So far, the twin-islands has reported a total of 439 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 cases, out of which in total 127 patients have been recovered from the deadly mutant.
While a total of 3 deaths have been reported on the sister island due to the deadly coronavirus mutant.
The SKN government has asked its residents to obey the COVID-19
health protocols & measures such as – wearing masks, often sanitizing, maintaining social distance and following the state emergency. PM Harris has also inspired citizens to take jabs at their coronavirus vaccines.
The government of the twin islands has announced a state of emergency in the nation which would be in effect till 6 July 2021. Despite this, the SKN government also announced a 24-hour lockdown for the St Kitts island only, which would come into effect from 1 July 2021 so as to control the spread of the deadly mutant.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis – Dr Timothy Harris, also notified that the island’s borders would remain open.
