The cause of a Cayon resident’s death has been confirmed as asphyxia due to drowning.
An autopsy was performed on the body of Torday Burroughs by pathologist Adrian Nunez last week.
On 4 January police responded to reports of a suspected drowning at Friars Bay.
Burroughs was at Carambola with friends when he went missing.
They went looking for him and found his lifeless body in the water, pulling him out before the emergency services were called.
He was taken to the Joseph N France Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
