St Kitts and Nevis plans to vaccinate children against COVID-19

St Kitts Nevis: The Federation would shortly roll out a plan to ensure that children could also get access to the vaccines against the dreaded disease COVID-19, said Premier Mark Brantley.
"We shall shortly be rolling out our plan to ensure that a significant number of our children can access vaccines against Covid-19 so that, like the majority of our adult population, so too a majority of our children can be protected," he emphasised.
In a statement on Tuesday, Brantley said, "As we face another looming crisis of variants, including the dreaded Delta variant, in this ongoing battle against Covid-19, the latest news from the United States shows that our children have now become the victims of Covid-19.

"Our innocent children, the future of our country, are now on the frontlines and falling victim to this virus in ever-increasing and ever alarming numbers," he added.
Minister of Foreign Affairs further extolled the Government of St Kitts and Nevis for getting advice by the science to protect each and every individual of the country from the global pandemic, "I am very happy that our Government continues to be guided by the science and is resolute that we cannot and we shall not leave our children exposed to the ravages of this dreaded disease."The response against Covid-19 has always been an all of society response. We must protect ourselves and our innocent children.
