SKNLP initiates 'Candidate Selection Process' for General Elections 2025

Basseterre: "The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) is re-energized and revitalized as we ready ourselves for the upcoming general elections constitutionally due by 2025," said SKNLP in a statement issued on Wednesday.
The statement further said that political outfit is restructuring their constituency branches to ensure that Labour party is more focused than ever to the needs and concerns of the people. "Frequent and very informative working sessions have been held with each Constituency to enact strategies that will ensure the Party remains the leading political organization within the Federation," the statement read.
The eight Constituency branches are strengthened with a combination of experience and youth that bring a diverse approach to the community’s needs. "With this positive energy, and as part of our readiness progression, the SKNLP continues its forward thrust with the commencement of our Candidate Selection Process." Each Branch will put forward interested applicants from within its respective Constituency that expressed a desire to represent their democratic rights as well as their community and personal ambitions. "Persons are also welcomed to apply for Candidacy independently."The application process which began at end of July will close on Saturday, 14th August 2021.
"Exciting times are ahead for the SKNLP. In November, the Party will host its Annual National Conference to elect our national executive members and begin our leadership transition. It is a time of hope, vigor and innovation," the statement read. SKNLP further added, "The future of the SKNLP is bright. We continue to be a formidable force within the Federation as we live firmly according to our mantra “For The Good That We Can Do” serving all facets of society; Putting People First in all aspects of the Party’s endeavours. The SKNLP moves forward as a resilient, cohesive unit committed to the people of this Federation."Latest
