Seminar 'to boost wedding and honeymoon market in Dominica'
Event will be led by respected wedding planner
Tuesday, 6th June 2017
A three-day wedding and honeymoon tourism seminar is coming to Dominica, with the market identified as important one for the Nature Island.
This follows moves by Discover Dominica Authority to develop the countries offerings to engaged couples and newlyweds.
The seminar, which runs from 7 June to 9 June, will focus on strengthening the development of the wedding and honeymoon product, as well as building the capacity of relevant public and private sector organisations and individuals involved in the market.
Nathalie John, found and CEO of Dreamy Weddings and Tours, will run the sessions, which are being held at the Fort Young Hotel in Roseau.
She is a certified wedding and event planner, organising hundreds of ceremonies across the Caribbean.
'Natural attributes'
In 2010, John was named as an A-List Wedding Planner by Destination Weddings and Honeymoons magazine.
She continues to promote the Caribbean region as a speaker at international wedding and event conferences.
While in Dominica, John and the Dreamy Wedding team will visit hotels and attractions – such as Bois Colette Estate, the Botanical Gardens and Kalinago Barana Aute – to experience what the island can offer to those looking to book their wedding or honeymoon.
According to a press release, “worldwide couples are now looking for exotic and romantic destinations for weddings and honeymoons, and Dominica offers all the natural attributes, which are a significant component of this growing trend.”
