The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority made a vibrant appearance at the Martinique Boat Show from May 30 to June 2, 2024. The delegation was led by SLTA Deputy Director and Lead for Maritime Affairs Grace Parkinson.

The team members included Dexter Percil, Head of Marketing; Annie Lefroy, Director of Marketing for the French Region; and Denise Mauricette, Marketing Officer.

While collaborating with Marigot Bay Yacht Haven, the team engaged with destination partners, carnival bands and boat charter companies. They highlighted the prime marine zones of Saint Lucia as well as its cultural offerings and exceptional hospitality.

It is to be noted that an agro-processing company from Saint Lucia Rego’s Naturals also participated in the show. The delegation’s primary goal was to invigorate maritime activity to significantly increase yachting arrivals to Saint Lucia, positioning the island as a premier destination for nautical tourism.

Saint Lucia’s participation in the show shows their dedication and commitment to showcase the island on a global platform and the tourism authority’s aim to highlight the unique offerings of the island nation with as many people as they can.

Such shows gives the tourism authority an ideal chance to boast everything which Saint Lucia has and allow them to build new partnerships and collaborations with other stakeholders of this industry.

The nautical professionals of the Caribbean gathered for 4 days on the Port de Plaisance of the Etang Z’Abricots. Over 5,000 m2 of land exposure space and 100 linear meters of floating exposure, the show welcomed exhibitors from all over the Caribbean: renters, professionals in repair, maintenance and deconstruction of boats, equipment manufacturers, motorists, boat salesmen (sail, engines and jetskis), boat licenses, charter companies, services (banks, insurance, credit agencies) and institutional.

The huge number of exhibitors engaged among each other and talked about the enhancement of the yachting industry in the Caribbean region and each islands which came forward to participate and showcase themselves and their nation.
