Robbers stole $30 million on gunpoint in Guyana

As per officials, a popular gold dealer from Bartica was robbed by bandits who entered to shop and pretended to sell gold.
The video footage surfacing on the internet shows how a bandit who was dressed up in blue and white coloured clothes entered the shop calmly and engaged in a conversation with the shop owner.After that, he threatened the shop staff and started to put money and gold in his black coloured bag. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV cameras.
Police sources told media that the bandit robbed over GYD 30 million in cash and 105 ounces of raw gold. The police are investigating the incident and seeking the robbers.
Such incidents are being recorded in Guyana almost every day, people are scared off getting out on roads, and now even shops are no longer safe. The increase in gang violence and overall crime has increased. Recently, two foreigners were robbed in the middle of a busy road.Police are also investigating the robbery of Wallison Enterprise located at Lot 23 Gordon Street Kitty Georgetown earlier today by three bandits wearing face masks and armed with handguns. The men took two cellular phones valued at $360,000, thirty-eight million dollars cash and sixty ounces of raw gold valued at twenty million dollars. Police investigations revealed that the three suspects came with a white car and parked north of the building.
