Police issue statement on St Lucia J’ouvert activities
Force hoping for cooperation
Monday, 18th December 2017

The Royal St Lucia Police Force has stressed that it is not within its scope to approve or deny late night activities that feature loudspeakers.
This is the case if there is loud music past 2am.
Behaviour of the police is in keeping with section 550-557 of the Criminal Code of St Lucia 2013, it added.
“We recognise that during this season, traditionally, J’ouvert activities are held island wide,” a statement from the police force said.
“Any such requests can be submitted through the office of the Commissioner of Police to cabinet, the duly authorised body, for consideration for approval.”
The Royal St Lucia Police Force wishes to seek the cooperation of individuals in this regard as we continue to serve the general public.
