PM Roosevelt Skerrit congratulates Joe Biden & Kamala Harris
The Dominican Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit congratulated Joe Biden for swearing-in as the 46th President of the United States and Kamala Harris.

The Dominican Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit congratulated Joe Biden for swearing-in as the 46th President of the United States and Kamala Harris for becoming the first female Vice President on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit stated that he looks forward to working with the United States on common issues like climate change and coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Skerrit wrote on Facebook and Twitter," On behalf of Dominica, I congratulate US President JoeBiden and Vice-President KamalaHarris on assuming office. I look forward to working with the US in building a stronger and resilient world for all of us. We stand united in addressing common challenges, whether it is climate-change or COVID-19." Dominican Prime Minister had earlier condemned the capitol attack on January 6, 2021. He had hoped for a peaceful transfer of power and added," We are encouraged that democracy will prevail in the United States in spite of the unfortunate scenes of insurrection which unfolded in the US Capitol."As the Dominant power in the region, US democracy is indeed in the interest of all of the nations in the Caribbean.
Besides the Dominican Prime Minister, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Timothy Harris, also congratulated the President of US Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for assuming office.
