PM Roosevelt Skerrit attends PTA meeting at Dominica Grammar School
Prime Minister of Commonwealth of Dominica Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit attended a PTA meeting at the Dominica Grammar School (DGS).

Roseau, Dominica: Prime Minister of Commonwealth of Dominica Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit attended a PTA meeting at the Dominica Grammar School (DGS). He shared the photographs on his Facebook and acknowledged the contribution.
Prime Minister was also joined by other cabinet members during the PTA meeting at the Dominica Grammar School.
PM Skerrit stated that DGS has contributed immensely to the country's future, and he believes that the school would continue to do so in the foreseeable future.

Regarding the rebuilding of the Dominica Grammar School, Prime Minister Skerrit stated that the government stands firm on its commitments, and decisions have been taken to fast-track the reconstruction.
Furthermore, Prime Minister stated that the re-construction of the building is the government's top priority.

Build-in 1983, Dominica Grammar School, situated in Roseau, is the oldest school on the island. However, the institution's curriculum has been expanded, and it now functions beyond its historical scope.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit shares a personal relationship with Dominica Grammar School as he is also an alumnus of DGS.

Alumni of Dominica Grammar School have contributed highly to the country's politics and development. The school have given several prime ministers and president's to the country including former prime minister Pierre Charles.
Besides PM Skerrit, Pierre Charles, 6th Prime Minister of Dominica, attended 1967-70 before transferring to the Saint Mary's Academy, Roosevelt Douglas - 5th Prime Minister of Dominica, Edison James - 4th Prime Minister of Dominica, Philip Potter - a leader in the Methodist Church.

Other distinguished alumni include Edward Scobie - historian and journalist; Liam Sebastien - Windward Islands cricketer; Clarence Seignoret - former President of Dominica, Vernon Shaw - former President of Dominica; Grayson Shillingford - West Indies test cricketer; Crispin Sorhaindo - former President of Dominica.
