He expressed his pleasure over the rapid pace of the workers and said that the project is taking good shape.
The project is being managed by the lead developer, Rock & Dirt Ltd. During the site visit, the contractors assured the Prime Minister that the work would be completed within the projected time. While announcing the update through his official Facebook account, PM Drew said, "Earlier today, I visited the St. Peter's Main Road and F. T. Williams Highway where the Road Rehabilitation Project is taking place, to check on the progress, and I was quite pleased."Notably, the project began on Monday, January 08 2024, with an investment of $31 million.
According to the information, the new base roads will be constructed, providing a smoother way for commuters. Also, the sidewalks would be constructed called cat's eyes, and new safety measures will be made to meet international standards.
Reportedly, Dr Terrance, in his remarks, emphasized fulfilling the people's demands with the Public Work Department (PWD) taking strict measures to bring this project into reality.
PWD is making every ounce of effort to benefit the residents residing near it and eventually provide a better area for living.Due to the frequent occurrence of hurricanes, these constituencies need road maintenance once or twice a year, and the Prime Minister has shown his utmost commitment to leading construction projects that will ensure the safety of the residents.

Prime Minister Drew further promised the locals that this project would be carried out successfully in due course.
