Antigua and Barbuda: Norway-based Norse Atlantic Airways is all set to provide charter services from the United Kingdom to Antigua and Barbuda this winter. The development was announced following the airline’s partnership with P&O Cruises.
According to the information, Norse Atlantic will provide services between November 2024 and March 2025 with weekly flights on Friday from Manchester to Barbados and weekly flights on Saturday from Gatwick and Manchester, alternating between the two islands of Antigua and Barbuda.
In December, Norse put flights on sale for its 2024-25 winter season, including routes from London to Bridgetown, Barbados, and Montego Bay, Jamaica. However, a spokesperson for the airline confirmed that Norse will not now operate flights to the Caribbean on its own network this winter, leaving only the charter services beginning during the coming months.
While talking about the news of P&O Cruises President Paul Ludlow said that the collaboration will allow them to offer a bespoke in-flight experience which mirrors the consistently high standards which the guests expect from a holiday with P&O Cruises.
Meanwhile, the CEO and Founder Norse Atlantic Airways, Bjorn Tore Larsen said that the company is thrilled to partner with P&O Cruises for the winter season 2024-2025 fly cruises to the Caribbean. He added that this partnership shows the shared commitment to delivering exceptional travel experiences to the customers.
Larsen further noted that the modern aircraft and class leading product will be providing passengers with a comfortable and memorable journey from the moment they will step on board. He added that the company is looking forward to welcoming P&O passengers throughout the season ahead and contributing to the overall success of their Caribbean vacation.
The collaboration between the airline and the cruise will eventually turn out to be beneficial for the Caribbean island nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
It is to be noted that Norse Atlantic announced plans for its first flights from the United Kingdom to South Africa with a three times a week service between Gatwick and Cape Town launching from October 28, 2024.
