New website and reporting system launched by Civil Aviation Division of SKN

The Civil Aviation Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs collaboration with the Department of Information Technology has declared the launch of its new website and reporting system.
This is in keeping with the terms and approved practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the regulatory body for civil aviation globally. As a party to the Chicago Convention that speaks to Civil Aviation Security, Saint Kitts and Nevis is making it mandatory to safeguard the aerodrome, passengers and crew, and area personnel in every matter related to civil aviation from acts which are unlawful restraint.
The main purpose of this website is to facilitate a platform where anyone can give reports or provide service feedback regarding any incident and experience while visiting at or leaving from any of the two airports within the Federation.
Conditions will be made for reporting forms to remain anonymous but will include an option for those who wish to be identified.
Remarking on this step, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Aviation, Honourable Mark Brantley, said “Covid-19 has shown us the value of conducting procedures online. I am happy that this website provides a new avenue for our stakeholders to communicate with the Civil Aviation Division. As Covid-19 has launched the world into an advanced technological era, the launch of this website comes at a very important time.”
The website will also be equipped with relevant information geared towards sensitizing and educating citizens and travellers, including Travel Tips, Safety Rules, Aviation Legislation, COVID-19 Guidelines. Created with a user-friendly event in determination, visitors to the site can not only report but also access news about the functions and duties of the Civil Aviation Division.
