Minister Samal Duggins extended huge congratulations to the Molineaux Blue Runners for winning the Cool and Smooth T20 Explosion championship

St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Agriculture Samal Duggins extended huge congratulations to the Molineaux Blue Runners for winning the Cool and Smooth T20 Explosion championship. He appreciated the team’s wonderful and energetic performance throughout the championship.
Taking to his official Facebook account, Minister Duggins said, “Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and you’ve made your team and fans proud. Well done!”
The winners bowled out the Sandy Point Snappers for 75 in the finals of the inaugural Cool & Smooth T20 Explosion which they chased very easily and won the tournament. The match was very exciting with both the teams trying their best to clinch the title and become winners of the significant tournament.
He also congratulated the Sandy Point Snappers and the St. Paul’s Barracudas for clinching second and third place, respectively and remarked that their performances were outstanding, and they have shown great sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
Meanwhile, the Sports Minister gave a special commendation to the CEO of Cool and Smith, Dario Barthley and his team for conducting an incredible tournament in collaboration with the St. Kitts Cricket Association and the Department of Sports.
He appreciated them and said that their efforts have played a vital role in promoting cricket’s growth in St Kitts and Nevis.
Meanwhile, the legendary Sir Vivian Richards spoke on the impact of the Cool & Smooth T20 Explosion on the wider Caribbean.
He said, “So if this is a tournament, in my opinion, that can give young individuals an opportunity for them to further their careers, to go further and even to the bigger things, you’ve got to start somewhere.”
He also added that Cool and Smooth have been phenomenal in terms of sponsorship and support which it got from across the region and said that such tournaments have a great impact on cricketing world in the Caribbean region.
