Commonwealth of Dominica: Minister for Housing and Urban Development Melissa Skerrit launched the Christmas Village Carnival Grand Finale and Amnesia Camp Pop-Up official poster on her official Facebook handle on Thursday (January 4). As per the information, The Village Christmas Carnival will commence in Roseau Constituency on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 5 PM onwards at Botanic Gardens, Roseau. It will be held under the theme "Christmas We Miss You... Carnival I See You". The Carnival will feature several musical performances by various legendary artists around the nation, such as DJ Shil, Gwada G, Freddy, and DJ Taffy. Further, the festival will also set the stage for the two major shows, including:
  • Shine, like a Start Talent Show with its winners
  • Amnesia Camp Pop-Up
The Event will be hosted under the patronage of various specified sponsors, including Village Ram, ADS Construction Inc. and Amnesia. Furthermore, the Amnesia Camp Pop-Up Event will be held under the theme, "Forget Your Worries, Live Life". It will begin from 5 PM onwards with a special Promo Code for the visitors, #AMNEVALNY24PROMO. Also, as per the organisers, the Registration for this Event will be open for the men with a special offer of $300. This offer will provide them access to Belle, Sassy and Classy, all-inclusive and One Amnesia Drifit Shirt, with available bottle services and Free Shorts for Amnesiacs. Melissa Skerrit- housing Minister and Parliamentary Representative, encouraged people to join the Carnival and take part in seasonal festivities. "The season is coming to a close!! But Carnival is around the corner! Don't miss the Grand Finale at the Christmas Village!!" added in a Facebook caption of her recent post. Meanwhile, the community members extended their support and excitement to the festival and were grateful to the government for hosting the event. They also expressed their desire to be part of the festival; one user,  Samatha Pretty mentioned, "My child will surely miss Christmas Village. It was a fun time for the children. Keep it up. Fingers crossed for an Easter or Summer version".
