LIAT flights CANCELLED today as Hurricane Irma looms

All flights today across the Caribbean by regional carrier LIAT have been cancelled due to the effects of Hurricane Irma.
Six routes will not be taking to the skies as the eastern islands prepare for the worst of the weather, which is expected to take hold over the next 48 hours.

The Miami based National Hurricane Center has advised that Irma is expected to affect the north eastern Leeward Islands as a major hurricane. Hurricane watches are in effect for Antigua, Antigua, Barbuda, Anguilla, Montserrat, St. Kitts, and Nevis, St. Maarten and portions of the Leeward Islands.
