Leeward Islands cricketer in airport cannabis arrest

A cricketer from St Kitts and Nevis has been arrested in Antigua.
Akeem Saunders, 23, was picked up by police at VC Bird International Airport on Monday when 13g of cannabis was found in his possession.
He was taken into police custody and was said to be assisting officers with their investigations. A source revealed he was likely to be charged but since the arrest no word from the Royal Antigua and Barbuda Police Force on the matter.
Saunders, who plays for the Leward Islands cricket team, arrived on Caribbean Airlines flight 459. It is understood he was making his way to St Kitts.
Officers from the narcotics and customs department using dogs to search suitcases found the drugs.
