Jamaica: Two men killed in just 3 hours, investigations underway

Police assigned to the Kingston West Police Division have increased their patrols in the Rose Town area following the murders of two men over three hours on Friday, December 25.
The deceased have been named as 24-year-old Jermaine Mowatt, otherwise called ‘Boy Boy’, of Spanish Town Road and Romaine Atkinson of Tewari Crescent, Kingston 13
Reports are that at about 11:20 am Mowatt was in the Georges Street section of the population driving his vehicle when he was attacked and shot dead by unknown assailants.
Less than four hours later in a separate incident, Atkins was in his Tewari Crescent community in a yard when he was beaten and shot several times at about 2:30 pm.Authorities reported that less than 24 hours after the attacks they were patrolling sections of the Rose Town area when they heard explosions and responded.
On their arrival, a group of well-armed men was seen. The police engaged the gunmen and managed to seize two firearms- one Single Action, 9mm pistol, loaded with a magazine containing two 9mm rounds and one Glock 27 pistol along with a magazine containing eight .40 cartridges.
The gunmen, who were known to the police, fled the scene on foot. Meanwhile, investigators have since named the next persons as wanted: Preston Evan, otherwise called ‘ Zazu’, Dennis Mundel, otherwise called ‘Ginsing.’
Additionally, lawmen have listed the following persons, who they believe can assist in the investigation as to persons of interest: A man understood only as ‘Taliban’, A man known only as ‘Ozil’, Ojingo Duhaney, Daniel Duhaney, otherwise called ‘ Dan Dan’, Daniel Atkinson unless called ‘Poppa.’
"These men are being asked to turn themselves into the Denham Town Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) immediately," police said in a release.
Anyone knowing the location of these men is being asked to contact the Denham Town CIB at 876-948-6443, Crime Stop at 311, Police 119 emergency number, or the nearest Police Station.
