interCaribbean announces one-stop flight from Jamaica to Saint Lucia

interCaribbean Airways was delighted to introduce a same-day connection from Jamaica via Barbados with onward connections to Saint Lucia. This significant development is aimed at enhancing regional connectivity across the Caribbean.

The service came into reality following the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority delegation visit to Jamaica from April 2 to 12. During their presence in Jamaica, Christopher Gustave, Marketing Manager and Rondel Charlery, PR Officer, are joined by popular Saint Lucian deejay, Hollywood HP and Brand Ambassador, Daren Sammy.

The delegation highlighted prominent events such as the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, ICC Cricket matches, and Saint Lucia Carnival, leveraging Jamaica's vibrant carnival festivities to garner interest.

The interCaribbean Airways said that as the island is all set to host a number of events and activities, this new service will ease individuals from Jamaica to travel to Saint Lucia and attend these events. The airline said, "We had an incredible evening celebrating everything Saint Lucian and getting a taste of what this beautiful gem has to offer," following which the team from Travel Saint Lucia, Caribcation, Visit Jamaica and interCaribbean Airways partnered to make this a reality.

While encouraging everyone to book their tickets as soon as possible, the airline noted, "It's time to pack your bags, get your tickets and enjoy this one-stop flight (via Barbados) to Saint Lucia!"

Meanwhile, Saint Lucian Ambassador Daren Sammy also invited everyone to Saint Lucia and said, "Saint Lucia connected to Jamaica, one of the best things ever, especially with all these amazing events coming up. Let's go."

As he was in Jamaica, he asked the residents what they would give up to go to Saint Lucia, to which he got some of the most amazing replies.

A citizen said that he is ready to give up two weeks of work to visit Saint Lucia, while another stated, "I would gladly give up two weeks of hearing mommy, mommy, mommy to be in Saint Lucia."

This showcases Jamaicans desire to visit its neighbouring island and with the one stop flight, it will be much easier to travel.
