Grand Doha Resort of Qatar displays Guyana’s national flag

Guyana observed its 58th Independence anniversary on May 26, 2024. The country’s national flag had great significance, and is the pride of a nation. In this mark, the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel in Qatar displayed the nation’s flag – Golden Arrowhead.
“The Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel in Qatar is proudly displaying the Golden Arrowhead in observance of our 58th independence anniversary,” mentioned President Irfaan Ali.
The Golden Arrowhead is the pride symbol of the country which symbolizes the country’s culture, beliefs, history and the values of people. Its unique design made it prestigious “Golden Arrowhead.”
It contains various of the colors which have their own significance. There are five colors in it that are red, gold, green, black and white, which symbolizes zeal and enthusiasm, mineral wealth, agriculture and forests, endurance, rivers and waters respectively. Such a cultural significance covers all the aspects of the country and defines its beauty.
On the day of the independence, the country also hosted the flag raising ceremony where the country’s agenda of moving towards resilience and sustainability was outlined by the President of Country. The shared vision of President Irfaan Ali directed towards the country which is united and strengthened.
Significantly, the display of the national flag at the hotel in Qatar reveals that not only the celebrations are held in Guyana but the entire world is celebrating the anniversary. At various parts of the world, people were seen celebrating the independence day under the motto- One People, One Nation, One Destiny.
Also, the glimpses have come forward from London and USA of the independence day celebrations. A girl named- Roxanne Hermanstyne- Johnson as well shared her glimpses celebrating the independence day.
“Happy Independence Day to my beloved country, Guyana! Born & raised before migrating with the parents to the USA,” mentioned Roxanne Johnson.
She highlighted that she loves to be connected with the country Guyana as every aspect of the country from food to music captivates the soul. “Let’s continue to shine together all over the world,” added her.
