Five more tests positive of COVID-19 in Dominica, total cases 68
There are now twenty-seven active coronavirus cases in the island nation of the Caribbean while the total number of cases is at 68.

Roseau, Dominica: As per the health ministry of the Commonwealth of Dominica, five more people have tested positive for coronavirus in the country. The national Epidemiologist Dr Shalaudin Ahmed stated on Wednesday that all the new patients are asymptomatic.
As per the Health Ministry of Dominica, the contact tracing is undergoing, and one close contact of these positive individuals have been tested positive for the virus.
There are now twenty-seven active coronavirus cases in the island nation of the Caribbean while the total number of cases is at 68.
Dr Shalauddin Ahmed stated during the press-briefing that community screening Saint Josephs, La Plaine and Portsmouth is completed and people have been very cooperative towards that drive that intends to test the entire population of Dominica.
Furthermore, he added that over 80 tests were conducted using rapid testing, while two people who tested positive in the rapid testing were re-examined using the PCR Testing system.
"We plan to conduct more community testing before the upcoming holiday season," added the National Epidemiologist.
The Ministry of Health advised people to practice all the hygiene protocols, including washing hands, wearing a face mask, using an alcohol-based hand sanitiser and social-distancing.
Dr Shalauddin stated that people must maintain at least a six-feet distance from others and avoid contact with individuals experiencing respiratory difficulties.
Besides this, the Chief Medical Officer Dr David Johnson stated that Dominica's commitment to fighting the invisible enemy(coronavirus) remains strong. He said that so far, Dominica has responded very well to the pandemic and continues to do so.
Dominica has been experiencing coronavirus cases since it reopened borders on August 07, 2020. However, people entering from all ports are thoroughly screened and tested on arrival.
The government have been exercising extreme caution and utilising all its resources to prevent community spread of the contagious coronavirus. Health Ministry has also started a community screening in several health districts.
