He stated that entrepreneurship plays a meaningful part in providing newer possibilities for people.
"Entrepreneurship drives economies, creates jobs, and brings quality goods and services to market, and this Administration has worked on creating more significant opportunities for entrepreneurs," added Dr Roosevelt Skerrit during his Anou Palay address on Sunday.
Prime Minister noted that since he re-assumed office in 2019 under newer administration, the government have made efforts and also collaborated on the establishment of an Entrepreneurship Hub.
He added that the newly developed Entrepreneurship Visa Program had been introduced to attract capital to benefit small and medium-sized enterprises.
Further listing down accomplishments of his new administration, Prime Minister stated As part of government’s resilience programme Dominica is maximising renewable energy resources.
He asserted that the Energy and National Solar Street Lighting programme on the verge of completion.
"These street lights are visible across the island, improving the safety and security of our citizens," stated Dr Skerrit.
Besides this, he appended that the to support the middle-class of the country, the government proffered tax adjustment to people who have two residential properties, increased tax deductibles and reduced the cost of the transfer fees for Certificates of Title.
Speaking of employment opportunities in the public sector, Dr Skerrit added that there have been exceptional progress in finalising appointments for people who have been acting in the position for some time.
"We are pursuing the reclassification of the public service, which will result in improved terms and conditions of work."
Prime Minister stated that the government is always providing farmers with new opportunities and is attempting to modernise the agriculture sector.
"We have provided our farmers, large and small, with assistance to grow their own food to feed their families and to export for profit, while contributing to national food security," added PM Skerrit.
