'Distinguished St Kitts-Nevis nationals' to be recognised at ceremony

The Governor-General of St Kitts and Nevis will host an investiture ceremony this week for eight exceptional citizens of the nation.
At Government House, Basseterre, on Wednesday, Sir Tapley Seaton will confer awards for contribution to the development of the federation.
The Companion Star of Merit (CSM) will be awarded to Lady Hulda Lawrence for her contribution to the field of music.
Five people will receive the Medal of Honour (MH), including Silvia Isaac (contribution to nursing), Clarice Cotton (contribution to education and Special Olympics), and Vanta E Walters (contribution to early childhood development).
For contribution to the public service in education, Dalia John reviewed the MH, as does Maurice Widdowson, for his contribution to tourism.
Elquemedo Willet and Vanta Archibald were both featured in the New Year’s Honours 2017.
They will will both be made Members of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE).
Willet – a former West Indies cricketer – was recognised for his contribution to sports and international cricket, while Archibald was made an MBE for her contribution to education, including library services and community activity.
