The Federation's Leader of the Opposition, Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has begun a series of meeting overseas with stakeholders of the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship By Investment (CBI) Programme.
During the meetings Dr. Douglas gave a reassurance of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) commitment to a CBI programme free of politics, corruption, and illegal activity.
Dr. Douglas has already met and will continue to meet with a number of economic citizens, agents, investors and developers from Europe and the Middle East, who all have interest in investing in St. Kitts and Nevis.
This trip comes just days after Dr. Douglas informed and warned persons of the Federation of a number of illegal acts surrounding the programme.
During his presentation at the SKNLP Press Conference last month, Dr. Douglas stated that a number of CBI agents are working along with the Harris-led government and the CBI unit in conducting money–making schemes and are sharing the profits.
These illegal schemes, Dr. Douglas stressed, are undermining and devaluing the Federation's CBI product.
