Dominica to have an increase in Scattered Showers

As per the forecast issued on the Dominica Meteorological website a tropical wave over the Tropical Atlantic currently has a high chance of development over the next 2 to 5 days.

A tropical wave is projected to move across the island chain today into tonight. An increase in cloudiness with scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms can be expected across the area during the next 24 hours.

As per the forecast issued on the Dominica Meteorological website a tropical wave over the Tropical Atlantic currently has a high chance of development over the next 2 to 5 days. Residents are advised to keep updated on this system which is expected to be near the islands by mid next week.

Slight to moderate seas are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet. Partly cloudy to cloudy, slightly hazy and breezy at times with scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms will be seen. Wind will move Easterly to East southeasterly @ 10 to 35 km/h with higher gusts. Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate in open water and waves 1.0 to 2.0 meters or 3.0 to 7.0 feet can be seen. Government has not issued any advisory for the people so far.
