Dominica gets $300,000 recovery boost from Qatar
Middle East state's ambassador gave donation to PM

Qatar has injected the hurricane relief efforts in Dominica with US$300,000.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit was today presented with the donation by Qatar's ambassador to Dominica, Khamis Al-Sahouti.
The pair met at the prime minister's office in Roseau.
Rebuilding efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria on 18 September will be glad of this funding boost.

The nation suffered severe damage to its infrastructure, and over 90% of homes are still without power.
At a UN conference last month, Skerrit said that the hurricane repairs will cost 226% of Dominica's GDP (gross domestic product) – just two years after the islands was battered by Tropical Storm Erika.Latest
