Dominica fully vaccinates its 27 percent of population
Dominica has fully vaccinated its 19,138 population to date, and 1300 people have partially vaccinated. As of data, 27 percent of the population fully got their jabs against this noble coronavirus virus.

National Epidemiologist of the commonwealth of Dominica, Dr. Shalauddin Ahmed, on Wednesday gave the recent update on the country's vaccination drive.
Dr. Ahmed noted that there are 5 active cases in Dominica; while there are successfully 192, recovered from the contagious viral disease, no coronavirus death reported so far.
He also informed about RT PCR test status in Dominica, as per him, a total of 91,612 and the country has 1% of positivity rate.
Discussing the new travel guidelines for fully vaccinate travellers, the National Epidolomigist noted that the submission of the RT PCR test is mandatory.
He asserted that all travel is subjected to an on arrival rapid antigen test.
Besides him, the Minister of Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives also gave an update; she said that fully vaccinated travellers are no longer need to be quarantined if they test negative for COVID-19, during the on arrival Rapid Antigen testing.
She said she has set an office for all queries by the travellers with the Hotline for appointments and the result of the test. One-stop secretariat for all travellers needs and concerns. The guests could call on the number 2757298, 2757299 on WhatsApp to get assistance from the staff of the Ministry of Tourism. For tourism stakeholders, the queries would be answered on the hotline numbers.
Health Minister Dr . Irving McIntyre noted during his address in the press brief, highlighted the new adjustments made in the COVID-19 travel protocols for the fully vaccinated travellers.
The Minister noted that the Dominica government is trying every possible aspect to improve the travelling for vaccinated travellers.
Following are the new adjustments for pre-arrival (fully vaccinated travellers)-- All the travellers must submit a health questionnaire online at before 20 hours of their arrival to Dominica.
- Upload a negative RT-PCR test on the official website of the health ministry before 24-72 hours of travelling.
- Upload COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
- Travellers would have to pay for the Rapid Antigen test that is EC$100, for their unvaccinated companion, including children.
