Roseau, Dominica: World-famous Carnival begin with full enthusiasm in the Commonwealth of Dominica from Sunday, February 20 to March 1, 2022. The special entertainment events of the festival are being conducted at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.

The carnival will depict the rich culture of the Dominica people and the island country. The organizing committee for the event is making sure that the event is taking place under proper containment measures and health protocols are abided by spectators.

Government urges the population and people from across the globe to come and participate in the Special Entertainment Events that are held during the traditional Carnival season.

Below is the list of events to be conducted during the Carnival: - On Saturday, February 26, 2022 - the Sunrise event from 1 am to 7 am, as well as Virtual Calypso Finals from 8 pm to 2 am. - On Monday, February 28, 2022 - Lumi Nation is to be held from 2 am to 8 am, and the TK ONE JAM ONE FETE event will be conducted from 4 pm to 10 pm. - On Tuesday, March 1, 2022 - the Hysteria Road Recall event will be held from 3 pm to 9 pm. As per the health measures established by the Dominica government, only vaccinated persons will be permitted entry to the carnival. One will be needed to present evidence of their immunization (vaccination card) at the security check.

A valid picture ID, as well as a negative Rapid Antigen Test report, are among the must documents that an individual is required to present in order to enjoy the carnival. The COVID-19 test must not have been taken more than 24 hours prior to their entry into the carnival.

It is an annual event introduced initially to boost the tourism sector and to attract tourists across the globe. Soon it became an international platform to showcase the rich indigenous Dominica music.
