Dominica: 5 BVI citizens test COVID-19 positive
Health Minister of Dominica Dr.Irving Mclntyre, notified that five people of British Virgin Islands who arrived in Dominica and quarantined in Safe in Nature programme infected from coronavirus and they had been admitted to St James isolated Unit.

Dominica: Health Minister of Dominica Dr.Irving Mclntyre, notified that five people of British Virgin Islands who arrived in Dominica and quarantined in Safe in Nature programme infected from coronavirus and they had been admitted to St James isolated Unit.
He further added that presently, 12 active cases of coronavirus present on the island.
Health Minister of Dominica stated that they are doing random testing in communities on ground level. To date, 71 PCR tests,174 rapid antigen tests, out of which one person tested positive from coronavirus over the last three days.
Additionally, he appealed to people to travel limited whenever it needed to required to do so, also to avoid people gatherings.
He announced that all churches and other public gatherings in Dominica have been suspended until further notices.
Mclntyre also noted that only groceries shops would be open, and alcohol shops and bars will be suspended.
He urged people to live in their homes and not to visit their relatives to assist the government in fighting against coronavirus.
In addition, he pointed about that special arrangements will be scheduled for students to their exams, so that they can comfortably give their exams.
" I urge people to be diligent and support the government to minimize the cases of coronavirus. " He noted.

Moreover, Minister also requests people to adhere to all coronavirus related health protocols and follow social distancing.
He acknowledged all the health workers for their contribution to coronavirus time.
Dominica is a mountainous Caribbean island country with natural hot springs and tropical rainforests. Morne Trois Pitons National Park is home to the volcanically heated, steam-covered Boiling Lake. The park also encompasses sulphur vents, the 65m-tall Trafalgar Falls & the narrow Titou Gorge. To the west is Dominica’s capital, Roseau, with colourful timber houses and botanic gardens.
