Visa exemptions look likely

Monday, 11th June 2018

High Commissioners Kevin Isaac (St Kitts-Nevis), right, and Christian Nkambule (eSwatini).

St Kitts and Nevis have formally established diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of eSwatini.

In a ceremony at the Caribbean nation’s High Commission in London, a joint communiqué was signed.

High Commissioners Kevin Isaac (St Kitts-Nevis) and Christian Nkambule (eSwatini) were both in attendance.

Isaac informed his opposite number that the federation wishes to to deepen and increase relations with the African community.

He thanked Nkambule for accepting the hand of friendship and camaraderie, which has allowed them to work so seamlessly together to achieve this important milestone.

Nkambule, whose country was known as Swaziland until a sudden name change earlier this year, said his southern Africa country is committed to building stronger diplomatic links with St Kitts and Nevis.

WIC News understands that the two nations will look to sign a two-way visa exemption agreement in the near future.

Both high commissioners invited their counterparts to visit their respective countries.
