Delta Airlines is all set to expand its network in the Caribbean with new flights to Antigua and St Kitts. The new service will provide passengers from New York to fly to these islands for a perfect winter escape.
The Antigua and St Kitts routes from the John F Kennedy International Airport will be an addition to existing Delta service from Atlanta.
The seasonal flights to both the premier tourist destinations of the Caribbean will provide them a chance of welcoming more passengers, hence injecting more to the overall growth of the tourism sectors and the countries as a whole.
The expansion of services by Delta to both these islands showcases the airline’s commitment towards these countries and its trust in them as both of these attract a huge footfall making it beneficial and a win win situation both for the airline and the countries.
According to the information from the airline, the service will begin on January 11, 2025 and will run through April 13, 2025. The airline will also begin serving the Turks and Caicos and Costa Rica in the winter season.
Delta Airlines will serve these routes once per week on Saturdays with the dates being as follows:
Detroit (DTW) to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (PLS) – December 21
Boston (BOS) to Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) – January 11
New York (JFK) to Antigua (ANU) – January 11
New York (JFK) to St Kitts (SKB) – January 11
It is to be noted that all four flights connecting the northern US to warm weather hotspots will be running seasonally and New York and Antigua is the only one of the four routes which Delta earlier operated.
The airline also said that Detroit will be the 5th city which they will be serving for Turks and Caicos. At present, the airline flies there from Atlanta all year round, with winter services from Boston, New York and Minneapolis.
Delta Airlines announced the additional services as it aims to enhance its relations with the Caribbean region.
