Cuban nurses to help St Kitts and Nevis amid COVID-19

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Timothy Harris recently announced $120 million stimulus package to protect and support the people in the critical COVID-19 situation. This package has proposed twenty-one new measures to assist the people of St Kitts and Nevis.
Currently, only two people are positive of the contagious virus; both patients had a recent travel history to New York and are presently under isolation.
As precautionary measures, the Team Unity government has adopted a two-tier testing system which reveals the medical tests of Coronavirus in a shorter period.
Besides this, 30 nurses and three Intensive Care specialists are arriving in St Kitts and Nevis from Cuba. The announcement was made by Dr Cameron Wilikinson, Medical Chief of Staff at JNF Hospital.
Furthermore, the $120 million packages have appeared to appeal for the general public, and people are applauding the steps of Prime Minister Dr Harris. The stimulus package includes $1000 per month for workers whose income have been impacted by COVID-19.
An additional amount of $16.9m is also announced for the health system of the country to handle any uncertainty because of Coronavirus. Notably, $62m was already part of the Team Unity government's new budget.
The government has also closed its borders to all commercial flights until April 07, 2020.
