Two of Dominica's renowned hotels – Secret Bay and Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort have proudly secured nominations in this year's Caribbean Journal's 'Caribbean Green Awards'. Hotelier Gregor Nassief is also up for the awards this year, with all three nominees looking forward to receiving this huge honour. According to the information, the Caribbean Green Awards celebrates the people, places and projects that are making a huge impact on the lasting future of the Caribbean region.  The awards feature how tourism destinations are putting the sustainable movement at the forefront, to the various developments which are reinventing the way one thinks about construction, design as well as energy.  While announcing the development, the Discover Dominica authority took to Facebook to call out all fans and ask for their help in making these nominees win.  "Help show the world that the "Nature Island" and its tourism entities are at the forefront of sustainability by casting your vote. Voting is open until April 20, 2024," noted the Authority. The DDA said that voting for Secret Bay, Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort and Gregor Nassief can be done through this link - https://rb.gy/pnzldq. Meanwhile, the officials from Fort Young Hotel also called out their regular customers and asked for votes. "By voting for Fort Young Hotel, you're applauding our efforts to champion sustainable tourism and empower our local community. Let's vote for a greener tomorrow, today," they noted.  The voting will end on April 2024, with the nominees urging the fans to support them in this endeavour.  These nominations celebrate their dedication to sustainability, from harmonizing luxury with historical preservation to empowering the local community in Dominica. Also, the officials from Secret Bay said that the nomination is a celebration of dedication, ingenuity, and the spirit of eco-friendly excellence and shines a spotlight on the pioneers leading the Green movement across the Caribbean.
