The soca artist and singer of Antigua and Barbuda Art Philip, aka Drastic, is all set to participate in the 2024 edition of Canada’s Got Talent. This year, the renowned reality show is titled The Million Dollar Season. Drastic will be competing against 115 other acts for an opportunity to win a million-dollar prize which is the largest in the history of Canadian TV.  According to the information, the show will premiere on March 19 at 8 pm local time on Citytv. The Antiguan singer Drastic began his musical journey in 2007 and won the Virgin Islands Idol. He brings a wealth of experience having been nominated twice as a Grammy songwriter and have done collaborations with Jah Cure Ricardo Drue Wycelf and Patrice to name a few. He also performed at the famous One Nation Concert last year in Antigua and Barbuda and set the stage on fire.  While announcing that the show is coming back for another season, the hosts said that the winner of Canada’s Got Talent’s Million Dollar Season will get a life-changing prize of $1 million. In addition to this, every Golden Buzzer recipient will receive $25,000, which is courtesy of CIBC.  Notably, Orville Redenbacher, Kruger aka Scotties Tissues and Unilever aka Dove and Dove Men + Care will be joining the Canada’s Got Talent’s Million Dollar Season as the premium sponsors in addition to returning partners – CIBC, Rogers and Tim Hortons.  As the news of Drastic being a contestant in Canada’s Got Talent 2024 is spreading across the twin-island nation, the citizens and residents are taking to Facebook to congratulate him and wish him luck with the performance.  “I will make sure my Canada fam and friends vote for you,” wrote a user named Nattassa Bee, while another user named Asha said, “Drastic DemiLandboyz, just lemme know if any link there for me to vote, jack. Please and tanks Do Tings.”
