Antigua Sailing Week: Dawn Treader bags trophy of Peters & May Race
The amusing 55th edition of Antigua Sailing Week has taken its way on. The activities going in the country hold fiery experiences for the visitors. It commenced yesterday with Peters & May Round Antigua Race, Dawn Treader won its trophy.

Antigua and Barbuda: The amusing 55th edition of Antigua Sailing Week has taken its way on. The activities going in the country hold fiery experiences for the visitors. It commenced yesterday with Peters & May Round Antigua Race, Dawn Treader won its trophy.
Ed Bell’s JPK 1180 Dawn Treader caught all the limelight by lifting the Antigua Race Trophy, followed by Jim Vos’ RP37 Warthog (ANT). The team Dawn Treader performed with great enthusiasm and flaunted the power of the Bell family as it is led by the three of four members from Bell family, namely; Ed, Cate and the son George Bell.
The other member, Mark Spearman being a boat captain, revealed tremendous performance. His efforts are being applauded at a great level. On this, even George Bell shared, “This is my first time at Antigua Sailing Week and the Peters & May Round Antigua Race was a great event to get the team up-to-speed.”
The Day 1 of Antigua Sailing week marked a successful event with a power packed day.
Today, the English Harbour Rum Race has also taken its swing mode on. And, it has been heard that with over three decades of partnership with the English Harbour Rum, this race day is always a fun one.
“Marking the first day of round the mark racing for Antigua Sailing Week, stunning breakfast at Shirley Heights Lookout, post-racing rum and of course that special moment that teams can claim their exclusive rum hats, we are all excited for today will hold,” mentioned the Antigua sailing week.
The sailing week includes the activities for the consecutive days till May 5, 2024 taking it to the heights of excitement and great times in the country. This week is bound to offer unforgettable moments with all the adventure included, directing towards the expansion of tourism in Antigua and Barbuda.
