American Airlines all set to resume Miami-Dominica daily services from June 5

The Minister of Tourism of Dominica, Denise Charles, announced that the American Airlines is all set to resume its daily services from Miami to Dominica for both the summer and winter seasons this year. The airline will provide its service from June 5 to August 5, 2024 and then from November 5, 2024 till March 31, 2025.
The development was announced by the Minister after her successful dialogues at Routes Americas in Bogotá, Colombia.While announcing this major development, Minister Charles said that this expansion is driven by huge market demand and customer input and it aims to provide an enhanced travel experience with greater hospitality and flexibility.
[caption id="attachment_69737" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Minister Denise Charles with delegation in Colombia[/caption] She also said that this increase in service from American Airlines is expected to bring huge benefits to hoteliers and will foster a more strong tourism economy through increased number of visitors and occupancy rates.According to Minister Denise Charles, the airline will resume its services beginning from three flight in a week to daily flights between Douglas Charles Airport in Dominica and Miami International Airport.
She announced the schedule of the flights and said that this enhancement in flight frequency will afford the passengers a huge array of travel options and will significantly bring reduction in layover times while offering more desirable departure schedules.The Tourism Minister also remarked that the introduction of daily flights during the winter season is specifically beneficial to hoteliers and the broader tourism and hospitality sector in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
She added that this strategic move is anticipated to drive increased tourism during this peak vacation period and will support the local economy by boosting hotel booking as well as pushing growth in related service industries.Minister Charles led a delegation to Bogota and stayed there from March 19 to 21. During the three days of prestigious conference, the Minister held several significant discussions aimed at fostering growth in Dominica’s tourism sector.
The event turned out to be an outstanding platform for the country and resulted in enhancing its air connectively and strengthen its position as a prominent green destination at an international stage.
