4-year-old brutally beheaded in Trinidad, suspect in custody
The police officials in Trinidad have also detained a suspect in connection with the murder of the minor at her home. It is alleged that the 39-year-old man beheaded her.

According to the police officials, around 10 pm on Monday, a young lady came running into the Arouca Police Station, and she was panicked. The female said that she had been beaten by her common-law husband and explained that he was also holding her 4-year-old daughter Amarah in the house.
The police officials immediately rushed to the residence, where they encountered a gruesome scene and took the suspect into custody. The crime scene investigators were present at the scene till 2 am. While sharing details on the event, Senior Superintendent Richard Smith said, "Upon arrival at the crime scene, they made the startling discovery of the decapitated remains of young Ameerah."He also noted that the members of the Victim and Witness Support Unit of the Trinidad Tobago Police Service have already been engaged to console all those who have been impacted by this incident.
In addition to this, he also took the opportunity to appeal to members of the public not to resort to violence to settle domestic issues and seek professional help from the time the earliest signs of abuse appear."Do not use your young, innocent children to settle your scores. This is a real case of the devastating impact of domestic abuse, where an innocent child's life was snuffed out," he added.
This brutal incident has sent shockwaves across the island nation, with people expressing their anger towards the criminal.
"The police don't do anything; they do wait for death to come to investigate," wrote a user named Cheryl Williams, while another user said, "Innocent little child, have nothing to do with the situation one died. Kids are being under attack."
