Students to get US $5500 as China announces new scholarship for Antigua & Barbuda
The people's Republic of China on Wednesday offered 38 post-graduate scholarships to Antiguans and Barbudans.

The people's Republic of China on Wednesday offered 38 post-graduate scholarships to Antiguans and Barbudans. In conjunction with the Prime Minister's Scholarship Committee, the Chinese embassy announced 38 fully funded Post Graduate scholarships to commence studies in China in 2022.
The scholarships include airfare to and from the People's Republic of China, free accommodation, free insurance, free tuition, along with a US$5500 yearly stipend, allowing students to enrol in a wide range of subject areas.
Students can apply for various courses at the Masters level include International Business, Public Policy, Educational Management, Tourism and Hotel Management, Environmental Engineering, Project Management, Social Work, Fishery Science, Meteorology and Urban and Rural Planning.
As per the office of the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, the programmes taught in English will run for periods of one to two years. Other areas of study include Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Professional Accounting, International Communication and Theoretical Economics.
Currently, there are over 80 Antiguan and Barbudan students pursuing undergraduate degree studies in the People's Republic of China, with a further 25 expected to commence studies in 2022.
