St John's Antigua: In recent act of crime in Antigua and Barbuda, a young woman of Dominican ancestry was found dead. The victim has been identified as Neltah Telemaque, whose dead body was discovered on Sunday at a dumpsite by a livestock farmer.
The body was discovered just two days after she went missing. According to the Antiguan police, the young woman's body appeared to have multiple wounds.
The victim's father, Glade Telemaque, is from Dominica and shifted in Antigua and Barbuda many years ago.
Glade Telemaque, a Dominica native from Wesley, described his daughter as a quiet individual who was never known to conflict with anyone. He said she (his daughter) suddenly went missing on Friday.
"She was a very reserved individual. Anyone who knows her, even a neighbour with whom I have not spoken in years, comes to me crying and says, 'Oh God, that cannot be Neltah, that is impossible,' because she is aware of Neltah's quiet nature. She is not involved with anyone and thus understands that it is impossible for someone do something like that," he told reporters at the scene in Antigua yesterday.
Kevin Samuel of All Saints, Antigua, surrendered himself at St. John's Police Station around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The police issued a wanted bulletin instructing him to immediately turn himself in at any police station.
The police believe Samuel may possess pertinent information that will help them in their ongoing investigation to find Neltah's murderer.
