VP Bharat Jagdeo addresses Guyana-Venezuela controversy

Dr Jagdeo answered the various questions asked by the locals and cleared their doubts. Transportation services for the same were arranged that left Supernaam at 2:00 p.m. and Charity at 2:30 p.m. accordingly.

Guyana: The Vice President Dr Bharat Jagdeo addressed the public of Anna Regina, Region 2, Essequibo coast on Sunday, 26th November 2023. The meeting was attended by the thousands of people at 4:00 p.m. on the selected location Anna Regina Car Park. The gathering was arranged to talk about the Guyana-Venezuela controversy, with the people residing near the border area. In Essequibo, the meeting of Vice President mentioned about the current border issues and discussed about the Guyana Government Preparedness along with the Regional and International strategic partners.

A video clip showcasing the gathering was shared by the official page of the government of Guyana. Users and followers showed their support and filled the comment section with praises and appreciations.

Earlier, President Irfaan Ali engaged with the residents of communities living near Guyana-Venezuela border in regions one and seven. The areas included Mabaruma, Port Kaituma, Baramita, Kaikan and Arau.

The president, government officials and Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defence Force – Brigadier Omar Khan were there for two days and hold the meeting.
