Saint Lucia Tourism Authority Amplifies Efforts in Guyana

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority continues to amplify its efforts in the Guyana market and promote the recently introduced connection between the two countries. Christopher Gustave, Marketing Manager for Caribbean, Events, and Sports, recently visited Guyana to promote British Airways' service on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as conduct meetings and training sessions with the Travel Trade about Caribcation Saint Lucia.

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority continues to amplify its efforts in the Guyana market and promote the recently introduced connection between the two countries. Christopher Gustave, Marketing Manager for Caribbean, Events, and Sports, recently visited Guyana to promote British Airways' service on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as conduct meetings and training sessions with the Travel Trade about Caribcation Saint Lucia. Gustave was a guest on 94.1's morning show with Gordon Mosely, a well-known journalist and radio personality, where he had the opportunity to promote the destination’s offerings, ease of connectivity, the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival from May 5th -14th, and Saint Lucia Carnival from July 1st – 19th. Gustave joined officials from Saint Lucia at the ceremony commemorating British Airways’ inaugural service at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, and the delegation subsequently boarded the service to the Hewanorra International Airport in Saint Lucia, where the flight was also commemorated.

During his visit to Guyana, Christopher Gustave said that by introducing this new service between Guyana and Saint Lucia, the tourism authority is strengthening the connection between the two nations and providing visitors with a unique opportunity to explore the exciting destination of Saint Lucia as well as the strong potential of Guyana as a tourism market. Additionally, the island nations - Saint Lucia and Guyana, are strengthening their economic ties by introducing a new service from British Airways. The service began on March 27, 2023, providing direct asses to both islands.  Recently, the tourism minister of Guyana visited Saint Lucia to add value to their collaboration and discuss new opportunities to promote both nations. This ensures that both Saint Lucia and Guyana benefit from increased economic growth and tourism.
