Newly elected PM of St Kitts and Nevis shares pictures of swearing-in ceremony

Dr Terrence Michael Drew, the newly elected prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis, shared glimpses of his swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the government office in St Kitts.

He shared the pictures on his official Facebook handle. On Friday, August 5, St Kitts and Nevis held early elections in order to renew the National Assembly's 11 of the 15 seats.

Six out of 11 seats were won by St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), which declared their victory.

The six seats that are secured by SKNLP will be held by Dr Terrance Drew, Marsha Henderson, Geoffrey Hanley, Samal Duggins, Konris Maynard, and Dr Denzil Douglas. In the swearing-in Ceremony, which took place on Saturday, August 6, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party's Dr Terrence Drew and his comrades were sworn in as the Prime Minister and the ministerial cabinet of the twin-island nation, respectively. PM Terrence Drew posted on his social media handle, "Greetings, Today we celebrate the victory of the A-Team (The St.Kitts-Nevis Labour Party). With people-oriented programmes and policies, this victory further signals readiness to better our nation and people 'For the Good That We Can Do'."

He also shared pictures from Saturday, August 6 2022, the Swearing-in ceremony, which took place at Government House.

St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party, which is led by Dr Terence Drew, the Cuban-trained medical practitioner, will become the island's fourth prime minister.

SKNLP have also presented solid plans and policies for the advancement of the country as well as its people.

During the elections, SKNLP got a clear victory by winning six out of eight seats which the political party had contested. Dr Terrance Drew, the prime minister, was elected for the general assembly from Constituency number 8.

After being out of office for around seven years, the SKNLP regained power again.
