St Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association has taken to their social media to announce the fourth innovation and networking event called SMILE (St Maarten Innovation, Initiatives & Industries Linkup Event).

St Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association has taken to their social media to announce the fourth innovation and networking event called SMILE (St Maarten Innovation, Initiatives & Industries Linkup Event). The event will be hosted by the Sint Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association in collaboration with Antonio Media (NL) and 360º of Innovation on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, 28 2023.

The University of Sint Maarten will serve as the venue for the business networking event. The programme is aimed at bring the regional innovations and initiatives that various individuals have taken up for the benefit and betterment of the region.

The initiative SMILE was founded in 2018 and aims to highlight innovative and sustainable initiatives in the Caribbean and beyond. The aim of the event is to further strengthen the regional labour force and facilitate networking in the region.

The annual event serves as a platform for the people of high intellect to come together and hold discussions on the various new initiatives and innovations that have been taken up in the previous year.

Its 2022 edition attracted 350 visitors from 129 companies. These visitors were representing 9 countries. The Sint Maarten Innovation, Initiatives & Industries Linkup Event provided more than 25 masterclasses and workshops, focused on assisting businesses, foundations and governmental organizations.

Meanwhile all participants were given the opportunity to network and do business during the trade show. The Ministry of Economic Development and the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce & Industry will organize a pre-event on Curaçao to give more insights on how companies from Curaçao can do business with St Maarten and why SMILE is a very interesting event to attend.

The interested persons may attend the pre-event on: Friday September 15, Starting at 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the auditorium of the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The pre event will provide an insight into the purpose and significance of SMILE, which would take place in Late October. The following personalities are tasked with the responsibility of addressing the event.
