Police probing fire that left two infants dead

Police in Grenada are investigating an early morning fire that claimed the lives of two young boys.

The top floor of a two-storey home in Fontenoy, St George, was gutted in the blaze on Sunday morning.

It occurred between 7am and 8am.

The two victims have been named as three-year-old Jamal Frederick and Javonté Frederick, who was just aged just two months.

Their five-year-old brother managed to escape the fire without harm.

The cause of fire, as well as the cause of the tragic deaths, has not yet been established.

“The Royal Grenada Police Force extends deepest condolences to the parents, relatives and loved ones affected by this tragedy,” a statement from the Office of Commissioner of Police said.
